‘Attend Every Party’ is the second full length album by Batsch. It’s not a sequel but a deeper investigation into the statements made on their not-quite-eponymous debut, ‘Batch’. These songs, stitched together with a self-styled, DIY approach to production, confront the shallow highs and lows of urban domesticity, with a twist of hyper-real glamour. Scenes are conjured from a broad gallery of inspiration, with some influences drawn from the pop world, others found in the half-remembered atmospheres of the dry-ice grooves of nights on the tiles; and in the remote and distant tones of the themes of maths programs played on a cracked VHS, wheeled in across the dusty parquet floor in the school hall of a fever dream.
